According to the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province, the One-Stop Policy Inquiry and Interpretation Platform for the Hainan Free Trade Port upgraded both English and Chinese versions of the website in August.

This platform provides a unified and authoritative interpretation of policies and regulations, smart query functions, and online processing guidance to meet the inquiry and consultation needs of companies and the public regarding the core policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

Currently, the platform offers standardized interpretations of 71 core policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Each policy interpretation offers four modules: Policy Overview, Policy Interpretation, Policy Case Studies, and Government Services.

The Policy Overview module includes policy explanations, documents, applicable conditions, responsible authorities, and frequently asked questions. The Policy Interpretation module interprets policies via a variety of formats such as text, images, videos, and animations. The Policy Case Studies module illustrates how companies can benefit from the policies and their effects through different case studies, and the Government Services module gives an introduction to the application process.

In addition, the platform's search function supports keyword searches and filtering by policy level, policy type, industry type, and responsible authorities.

Since the official launch, the platform has seen high traffic rates for core policies such as the 15% cap on corporate and personal income tax as well as the tax exemption policy for value added processing on products sold on the domestic market. A total of 33.4% of site users have IP addresses located outside Hainan, and the average site visit lasts 34 minutes.
